Nature Returns

Galveston Island. Texas

This area was severely damaged during Hurricane Ike in 2008 and hasn't been rebuilt. It is slowly returning to a natural state.

Going Natural in April - If you would like to join us, please do. We have a lot of fun.

Well seen and photographed. I have mixed feelings about a scene like this. Nature was here before man. So, in a way, this all belongs to her. So, she has a right to reclaim it. However, seeing the destroyed remnants of man's lives & endeavors is also sad.

it's headed in the right direction here, and in the meantime the artwork adds colour to the scene..

Nice to see nature returning, although I agree that it might be best to get rid of the concrete. V.

Would be nice if the concrete could be removed so that the whole area can recover. I wonder if this is private land.
