Pretty Rock

At Home

I found this rock in Lake Superior near the Canadian border. I usually bring a rock or two home from my vacations.

Going Natural in April - If you would like to join us, please do. We have a lot of fun.

Beautiful! It looks like Basalt with some quartz and ferric inclusions.

Nice find and nice shot of the stone! From this perspective it looks like it has some kind of a man-made design on it.

prehistoric art of a natural ilk...cool how the serpentine seams of iron (?) are echoed in the tree shadows..

At first, I thought it was a turtle. Cool rock!!!
I also have a rock collection from my travels, but I often forget to label where I found some rocks & then years later, don't remember exactly where some were found. This is certainly a rock you couldn't forget. Very pretty.

I love collecting small rocks and stones, they live in our garden each with their own story.
