More ham radio activities today. Something that I have started trying to use is the EchoLink system. I have only been at it since this morning. Thankfully, there are several YouTube videos that at are very instructive. The EchoLink software allows licensed Amateur Radio stations to communicate with one another over the Internet. "Big Deal," I hear you say. What is really cool about it is that you make contacts through thousands of repeaters all over the world. So I can sit at my computer and talk with hams who are on the air with their local repeaters. That is pretty cool. The software is free. The only thing you have to do is validate your amateur radio license which can be done by sending in a .pdf file of the license. So today's photo is a screen grab of the computer interface with my call sign highlighted.
