1983 August Larry A Stevens

Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB)

Kenedy Space Center

The VAB and Launch Control center (to the right), and 2 buildings to the background left where the shuttles were refurbished before relaunch. In front is a Saturn V rocket (the top part only showing here) on its side. It was on display outdoors until 1996 where it was moved indoors and refurbished. Unfortunately, it is not a complete operational rocket as Stage 1 is a test stage, but 2 and 3 were from SA-514, which was slated to be Apollo 19.
