During the past 3 years, Bella has taken off about 3 or 4 weeks each year to be a pretend mother.

Above Bella is with her very first "puppy".

The image was a candid and not set up shot. "Big Red" was tucked in all by Bella to nurse. She acted just like a good mama dog will act with her real puppies. After allowing it time to nurse for a while, Bella then turned the red dog toy around to motherly clean off his other end. She was very delicate in moving him; PLUS very protective about keeping the other two girls (who had absolutely no interest) totally away from her precious "baby". This went on for weeks. Luckily, "Big Red" he didn't come to life (despite Bella's devoted maternal care) and miraculously end up as being Clifford the Big Red Dog.

Her next "litter in 2020" was 3 toys. This year, she was up to 5.
