Paul,
I know exactly what you are saying. I suppose that is one of the reasons why post processing becomes important to many of us. We are trying to show everybody else what we saw in "our mind's eye".
Then there are the shots that I just toss, as no post work could save them. The example are the closeup shots of my own eye. Gone !!

If it’s any consolation not a single shot I ever took ever came out as my mind imagined it would. Paul

This is in fact an architectural art installation, (I Suppose), the water ends up in kind of a drip fall down below into a concave 15 ft high mosaic jar like construction, leading to this walk through stream, that I will post in pending in the next few minutes.

Jim's take is masterful, as you would expect from him...for anything he touches. (I just don't have the time to even try to approach being as talented as him...I I have the desire, but not the time {too much trouble in this world...too many obligations}...so I can only thank him).

On this shot of leading lines, I've been trying to shoot this for several years now...unsuccessfully as I saw the image in my mind's eye. This can be seen as the Virtue of Persistence, or keeping on trying....this is what I wanted...clean, no obstructions, just kind of...what the heck is this?

Best Wishes, Traveller

Jim, the only one I saw was the one with the night sky.

You have a good memory, Jim. Same place?

T - I was thinking of something like this, combining this with another fine shot of yours, now in pending https://pbase.com/image/172399063

Yes, a great set of leading lines.
Perhaps the artist in T should use these in Photoshop and replace the the background with something more representative of the future. Nothing pops into my mind right now, except maybe for one of his great city night shots.

It would be a great shot to play with.

I’m wondering exactly what this is, a drainage pathway, water feature or what. I see the scene as leading lines, the lines aren’t leading to anything but they are leading
None the less. Paul

Up close and Personal: Certainly the narrow channel that constricts and controls our lives is up close, and the future, in the distance, is always personal.

I like this shot a lot and am trying to make it "up close & personal" in my mind.
