Also known as Stubble Lichens, Calicioid Lichens, and Pin Lichens. Identification to species based on sight is next to impossible. These fruiting bodies of a Stubble Lichen are growing from an old decorticated balsam fir stump. Possibly Mycocalicium or Calicium.
