Harwa lived in the 25 or 26th Dynesty or 1500 BC. He is over 3,500 years old. In life, he was a doorkeeper in the Temple of Amun, the largest temple in Egypt at the time.
He was the first mummy to be flown on an airplane and is currently on display at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago.
Harwa is on display behind glass. Unfortunately, the glass - with fingerprints all over it, very low lighting, & reflective glare - wasn't photography friendly. Still, just seeing this man from the ancient past is amazing. The photo is as "was shot."
