California Gull adult with Herring and Ring-billed gulls

Intermediate in size between the other two species, this bird showed the long bill with black and red distal spots. Iris was fully dark and legs/feet greenish yellow, important marks. Note mantle tone mildly darker than the adjacent adult Ring-billed.
