02 Cookie

Boulder, CO

This challenge seemed ripe for focus stacking, so here's a 20 shot stack of a peanut butter and chocolate cookie I made (I made the cookie and the focus stack). I actually made a batch of these cookies on Thursday, and when I realized that we only had four left today, I thought I'd better get this shot quickly, before my wife ate the rest. :) (OK, OK, I eat as many as she does, which is a lot, but we both run, so we earn it).

Hi Jim, yes I added the chunks after 8 minutes of baking, and then gave the cookies another 4 minutes.

These cookies look quite good.
Were the chunks added near the end of cooking?

Hi Paul, yes they are vegan. They're not advertised as vegan (that puts some people off), but like lots of other ordinary products, they don't contain any dairy or eggs. A lot of dark chocolate is just naturally vegan. When we first made these cookies, many years ago, we were only vegetarian, and not fully vegan, so we put Hershey's Kisses on top (one per cookie). They looked better, but I haven't found vegan Hershey's Kisses (haven't really looked), so I used these chunks.

Is that vegan chocolate chunks? We get allergic free chocolate chips from Walmart but not chunks. Paul
