20220219 3602 Cooper’s Hawk r1.jpg

Our Yard

IMAGE 2 of 4. (For 1 of4, click "Next") After taking a number of shots through a bedroom window with the Hawk perched above my feeders, I decided to go outside; however, as soon as the Hawk saw me it flew to this tree behind my neighbours house. I was able to get these series of shots from my backyard. This is the second in a SERIES of four shots I will be posting, all taken from this location.

In the current image the Hawk is releasing ballast in preparation for take-off. Or, perhaps it is just saying "There take that!"

Not the most charming pose, but a nice shot of it's behaviour anyway.
