Highland Valley Tailings pond

Between Ashcroft and Logan Lake, BC

On top of the world (it seems) there's this enormous open pit
copper/molybdenum mine - supposedly one of the biggest in N.America.
This pond looks like a huge lake. See the next image for another shot.
