Highland Valley Mine

Between Ashcroft and Logan Lake, BC

The tailings go on for miles - quite mind boggling.
Apparently they employ 1,300 people - strange being in the
middle of nowhere. The previous photo shows the tailings pond.

lots of jobs, and goodness knows their products are essential...still, pity to see the earth so ravaged...excellent shot to show our impact here..
