San Luis Pass, Texas

Just beyond is Titlum-Tatlum bayou. Located on nearby Mud island, it is a resort for fishermen, hunters, and small boats.

During the Civil War, 1861-65, it was used by the Confederacy as a base for operations for defying the Federal blockade.
