Egyptian hieroglyphs were the formal writing system used in Ancient Egypt.
Hieroglyphs combined logographic, syllabic and alphabetic elements.
The stones were found at Giza by Hermann Junker and are about 4500 years old.
These hieroglyphs are now exhibited at the Roemer & Pelizaeus museum, Hildesheim.
