Here it is Christmas Eve and we are getting ready for tomorrow. There was a quick trip to the grocery store and the liquor store for some last minute items. A long time friend of ours, Carl, sent us a stollen for Christmas. I think they are made by his German club. It was delicious, and Ginny decided that she would try to make some. Over the last couple weeks she has been looking for a good recipe and she found one. It is a yeast bread so there are two rises. That takes a while. She even made her own candied orange peel. When it was all said and done, we sampled the stollen and pronounced it "Excellent!"
