Little Stoney Creek Fall Colors -NFS

Giles County, Virginia

This is an impressionistic 12" x 18" oil painting on stretched canvas. Little Stoney Creek runs through the Jefferson National Forest in an area called the Cascades. The stream is situated between steep mountain ranges and is also a popular native trout fly fishing area. Due to the mountains, there is only a limited amount of time each day that the sun reaches the stream. It is beautiful, usually very cool and damp.
