One of the joys of home ownership is that you get the opportunity to fix things. We have lived here over 41 years. That is a long time and things are going to crap out, like our sewer line (excuse the pun.) Yesterday the drains got stopped up and we were fortunate to get the plumber out to unplug it. We have done a lot of business with these guys over the years. Today they came out with a camera and had a look in the drain. It was clear except for the end. Where the drain goes into the city sewer it appears that the riser has been pushed up into the line. So we scheduled to have it fixed the week after Christmas. They plan to replace the whole line which seems the right thing to do because it has developed low spots which are not a good thing. I look forward to watching them do it. All it takes is money!
