St Andrews might now be known as 'The Home of Golf' but in the 1500's
it was the epicentre of religious violence during the Scottish Reformation.
This monument remembers four men who were burned at the stake for 'religious crimes.'
These include owning an English language copy of the New Testament and suggesting
that clergymen should be allowed to marry!
