Red candles

Bought these red beeswax candles for Christmas.
Was glad to have them when we had a power cut this morning.
Luckily Storm Barra didn't cause as much coastal flooding as feared but
there were power outages across the country as the high winds brought down trees and cables.

Nicely composed with appealing DOF. They also served a double purpose for you: both a photo subject and emergency lighting.

I like the DOF and focus here too...very nicely done and so festive :o)

I like it and like that they were there for you when needed! Great color!

Nicely photographed with that narrow DOF.

candles give off more heat than light actually, making red a good choice....and yes, handy during a power outage..

I keep tea lights in holders all through the house...it's a stormy wet summer here this year,. I love beeswax and soy candles too.

Glad to hear they're serving a dual purpose!

Burning these would be very festive anyway, they are lovely and colourful! Glad things were not all that bad, though power outages are never good. V
