The Handley Page HP.52 the first prototype for the Handley Page Hampden.
The HP.52 first flew in 1936 with the first Hampden entering service in 1938. The Hamden was withdrawn from bomber operations in 1942 and torpedo operations with Coastal Command in 1943.
