Owls Cliff from Sawyer Pond
White Mountain National Forest

There's a trail that can take you up there. Quite some years ago my wife and I hiked it together along with our dog.
But on this day I opted to keep to the lower terrain.

I like seeing the granite(?) at the almost top. That must have been quite a hike many years ago. I think the view is just fine and really pretty from here.

I look at the hill and that would be something I would enjoyed doing in my mid seventies.
It would be something to look down on the Fall colors from up there.

This scene is absolutely stunning, a real sense of wildness (in which is the preservation of the world,I think Thoreau said). The hike to the top looks pretty steep but I bet it is spectacular. VV

the forest is awash with colour, and the climb up there looks an arduous one...such an attractive image..
