18 High-tech Pumpkin Carving

Boulder, CO

Not content with a simple knife, our son used an electric dremel tool to draw a goose on his pumpkin. He wanted something that would cut most of the way, but not all the way, through, so it would look translucent. Now that's dedication to his art! Note the contrast with the guy in the background, who looks like he's murdering his pumpkin with a machete (we were at a pumpkin carving party for graduate students in my department).

That is some set of life experiences. More power to him. His language skills must be pretty good. The US government could use his international experience and cultural skills.

Thanks Traveller. He gets his good looks from his mother. I'd forgotten how much fun pumpkin carving was. We're enjoying having him at home with us for a while. He's spent the last eight years living in Istanbul, Brooklyn, Malmo (Sweden), and Taiwan, so we haven't seen much of him (except Zoom and Facetime).

LOL...he is a handsome lad, if a little intense on his pumpkin carving....it actually lookes like...fun, a good life. Kudos for constructing such a difficult thing. Traveller
