With night temperature now dropping to 40 degrees F, most of the flowers that I plan to "Winter-Over" are back indoors in the Solar Room. That includes Hibiscus, Geraniums, Herbs, some Marigolds, and a couple of Petunias. The hibiscus require at least 50 degrees. So as soon as the night tempts got too cold for them, I started to bring the things I want to keep inside. I'm leaving all my Zinnias - and most of the Petunias & the rest of the Marigolds - out for Nature and cold weather to soon claim. I will then again start new ones from seed in late Winter.
Although the days are still in the 70's, sitting outside on the deck now feels strange with so few flowers. It's amazing how much having fresh flowers adds to a scene. Things aren't the same now with the remaining plants starting to go dormant.
