This old guy was going to be sent to slaughter. He was rescued by the Land of Misfit Animals and will spend the rest of his days there.

Wow. You can see the age in his eyes. It's a shot that really conveys an age-worn dignity. I'm glad that however many days he has left, they should be relatively happy ones.
