Maybe it's just me, but it seems that patriotism isn't what it once was in our country. I shouldn't be surprised since as a nation we can't even agree on the people and actions that constitute the greatest threats to our democracy and the constitution. Just check the headlines for quotes from our elected officials, the rewriting of history around the events of January 6th and the results of public opinion poles regarding political figures. The patriots who came before us who fought and died for our democracy deserve better from us.
