A friend of mine and I decided to meet for lunch at a place that was about the same distance from each of us- 60 miles or so. Casa Grande is a small city located about ˝ between Phoenix and Tucson, and a little bit of searching found Dell’s, which had a Reuben on the menu. The $10.30 Sandwich is served with your choice of a few sides- I chose the healthier sweet potato fries in hopes that my friend would have some as well. It was served with a dill pickle spear and a pepperoncini pepper, which was a first. The “Reuben Sauce” (1000 island dressing) was served in a small cup on the side- I prefer that the establishment put their “Reuben Sauce” on the sandwich as they see fit. There was nothing special about their sauce one way or another. The sandwich is bigger than what the picture shows- should have taken from a bit better angle. There was a lot of tender corned beef between the lightly toasted marble rye bread. There was a decent amount of Swiss cheese, as well as sauerkraut. In fact, for the price, this was probably one of the better values I have had for a Reuben, particularly when you factor in the sweet potato fries! Overall, the Reuben was good; however, the corned beef was just a bit “rubbery” was the best way I could describe it- odd. The rye bread could have been toasted just a tad bit more. I am going to give Dell’s Reuben a grade of B-
