The art of basket weaving in Volax includes the making of items from the weaving of wicker, willow and reed, the process of collecting raw materials, their processing and storage, as it was formed mainly during the 19th and 20th century in the area of ​​Volax. Characteristic of the baskets is their solid construction, mainly due to their use for the transport of agricultural products. Until the beginning of the 20th century, families in Volax lived exclusively from basket weaving. Today there are two basket weaving workshops in the village, but the art is also practiced by amateurs.
