although it is officially forbidden, people drop off their unwanted pet rabbits in the park, and they prove to be popular with local children, and local coyotes too

I agree with Julie Oldfield. Maybe it is the same in Canada : here in France a lot of people bought a pet not to feel too alone during the hard covid lockdowns last year and dropped them off as soon as the health situation has improved... V*

No wonder coyotes love the parks !! It is cute but sad that people leave them to their fate in this situation. This one looks like something's had a go at it :(

I remember seeing lots of domestic rabbits in various parks and always thought it was such a shame for animals that had once been someone's pet. This little one is adorable.
