This was an exciting find and made for an interesting summer of owls. I had these owls to myself which is a welcome change.

Typically, screech owls fledge sometime in May. But these owls fledged in the summer.

Screech owls normally have only one brood but will start a second brood if something happens to the first attempt at nesting.
