The Great Mosque at Herat, Afghanistan

Masjid-e Jami, the Great Mosque of Herat, Afghanistan, in 1974. It was built by the Ghurids, under the rule of Sultan Ghiyath al-Din Muhammad Ghori, from 1200 CE onwards, and extended by several later rulers.
