The Owl Kingdom

A young screech owl rests before a night of activity. I see them only after sunset to dusk. But it might as well be dusk where the owls are located. Very little light.

Quiet observation with no other human around. Once darkness comes, this place belongs to the owl. They can see but I cannot. I will return perhaps at daybreak. Bye little owl, enjoy the night. It belongs to you.

Thanks. The only time we get to share their world is during daylight f we happen to find one. Soon as it gets really dark, I know it is their world now. No people are around. At night one would be very fortunate to happen onto one but more likely you will hear one first. I have been following owls for a couple of decades and truly, my attitude is the night belongs to them. They have the advantage over any human.

Wonderful image - only heard one-of-these once - in West Virginia; wonderful capture here. V
