Dark-eyed Junco

Canaan Valley, West Virginia

I'm sometimes amazed how animals evolve and what characteristics get passed on to subsequent offsprings. Over the years, I've observed lots of Dark-eyed Juncos, this is the 1st one with a completely white tail.

I've never seen one like this. Great find and capture.

Three excellent sharp images of this white-tailed Junco Don. I agree with Pierre that it is probably leucistic.
