Our empty largest reservoir

view map

Anderson Reservoir at just 12% of capacity.

It was drained this year for seismic repairs.
It will be empty for ten years.

A bad time during out emergency drought conditions.

Your water situation must be worrying. Excellent shot of the current situation.

Wow, how worrying, great documentary image.
Walter Otto Koenig30-Aug-2021 15:13
An unsettling sight. I can see more desalination plants in our future.
Nick Paoni30-Aug-2021 14:23
This certainly won't help the water situation, but best for the future.

Who drains a reservoir during a drought?
Pierre Martin30-Aug-2021 10:35
not the best situation in a drought period and out of service for ten years, wow!
Steven Jusczyk30-Aug-2021 05:57

What will they do for needed water?
Tom Munson30-Aug-2021 04:44
A sign of the times in the west, Bryan. We have half the rain as normal.
