Bristle Fly - Adejeania vexatrix

Canaan Valley, West Virginia

Took this image off our open front porch in Timberline Canaan Valley. I noticed it on the milkweed plants and had never seen these before in the 34 years we've been here; of course, they could have been here all along.
They are a parasite, but don't bother humans. instead, they are suppose to be beneficial to gardens.
