With 18 craneway supports to be altered, I needed a template so that I might easily (relatively) arrange the vertical and horizontal supports with the gusset in order that I could place them on the supports with a minimal of time and difficulty. I determined the angle needed and prepared a paper template. While arranging the component parts looks straight-forward enough, the gussets were so small (and light) that I had to hold my breath to keep from “blowing it to the four corners of the earth” until I had the horizontal girder glued to it.
