14th - Five Valleys

Selsley Common, Glos. view map

The view from Selsley Common over Ebley and Dudridge to Whiteshill on the far side, with Stroud snuggled it its five valleys just round to the right. The (relatively) modern 19th century All Saints Church in Selsley is in the foreground

Wonderful scene. V
There are not many scenes like this in North America. The boundary between residential areas and rural areas is usually full of unsightly industrial buildings and activities.

how the countryside is transformed by the sprawling urban developments...the high angle POV certainly serves well here..

Fabulous vista, Doug. I like the little hamlet surrounding All Saints church. Beautiful sky above, just perfect. V
