Waterton Lakes National Park

The trunks of the deciduous trees have mostly turned white and with their
strange formations stand out eerily in the forlorn setting.
Here tho' you can see trees in the background, along the creek, are looking healthy.

reduced to bare bones they stand haggard and lifeless, like a natural memorial....thank goodness the fire did not spread further here, and many trees escaped the same fate..
