Waterton Lakes National Park

In September 2017, the Kenow Fire destroyed a vast area of this park.
It was mind boggling driving around the park and seeing the vastness of burnt forest.

there is certainly an air of defeat in that tree's droop, and the bare plants around it...and smoke again from more fires....excellent depction of the bleakness that lingers here..

So very, very sad. I haven't been to Waterton Lakes since before the 2017 fire. I have such great memories of the park from many different visits before then. Your image captures the current mood of what has been happening in recent years.
