1930's Walt Waggoner

6067

This was drawn during the Great Depression of the 1930's. When this was drawn, my father was living in either Chicago or New York. He lived in both during that decade. I have never been able to identify the red object between the vehicles, but nevertheless, the thought of such a little vehicle pushing a heavily loaded truck is funny, itself.

That makes sense to me!

That item hanging on the tail of the truck is probably a red warning lantern.
