The final picture of five in this series on the new Planet Word museum, situated in the old Franklin School. It was nice to see such a great repurposing of this historic building.
*****
We finally paid a visit to Planet Word, a new museum in DC that focuses on language. You might not think such an unusual museum would be too popular, but there were a lot of people there who seemed fascinated by the interactive displays. I loved it and definitely want to go back to spend more time there.
From Wiki: Planet Word is a language arts museum that opened in Washington, D.C., in October 2020. The museum is described as "The museum where language comes to life" and features exhibits dedicated to topics such as the history of the English language, how children learn words and how music and advertising use words. It is located in Franklin Square at the historic Franklin School, built in 1869.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.
