Monarch butterfly caterpillar (Danaus plexippus)

Larose Forest

Always a happy sign to see these larvae. I found a number of Monarch butterflies in the forest the other day, as well as their caterpillars and saw female Monarchs laying eggs on the underside of milkweed leaves.
