A closeup image of the area where the Sea of Serenity (Mare Serenitatis) and the Sea of Rains (Mare Imbrium) meet on the moon, made by extracting and combining the best five of 200 frames from a video made with the Canon 550D DSLR, through the Astrotech AT8-IN newtonian reflector telescope.

The video was analyzed and the best frames selected and combined using AutoStakkert. The resulting image was color balanced, sharpened and annotated using PixInsight.

The mare are labeled in blue, mountain ranges in yellow, and craters in red.
