El Galeón or Galeón Andalucía is the replica of a 16th century Spanish galleon designed and built by Ignacio Fernández Vial. It was sponsored and built by the Junta de Andalucía and the Nao Victoria Foundation with the objectives of promoting the project Guadalquivir Rio de Historia and stay next to the Spanish Pavilion during the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai and become ambassador of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia. In addition, his trip was used to sign agreements with several Andalusian universities, with that of Barcelona and with that of Liverpool, to carry out various studies.
