Next to Dave is "Cockney" Ewen, ('cos he was from london!) supported palace if i remember right.Back row, the little guy is Phil Shaw - he and I joined the bugle band - me drums, Phil bugle. he was very good at it and used to play reveille on leave mornings when we all had to get up about 4 am to pile on to buses to Ipswich station - he blew it all jazzed up for the occasion,(the tune was jazzed up, not Phil), if any one remembers. next to Phil is Tommy Hawthorn from Belfast.
