This was one of our lagniappe days. We came to Anchorage a day early to do some touring and relax a bit after the flight. So this is a Monday and lots of stuff is closed on Monday in Anchorage. We had a nice trolley tour of the town in the morning. We had a chat with the National Park Service ranger about our trip. We walked around a lot and had a nice lunch. Our cheap hotel doesn't have a free breakfast, so we picked up some breakfast stuff for tomorrow morning and went back to the hotel to do our daily homework (I do the photos and Ginny does the diary). Tomorrow we are off to Fairbanks for a couple days before heading off to Bettles as a base to visit Kobuk Valley and Gates of the Arctic.
In today's photo I am enjoying my first beer on this trip to Alaska. Life is good.
