Gray Treefrog (Hyla versicolor)

Lake Frederick, Virginia

Exchanged eMails with Paul Sattler, a biology and chemistry professor at Liberty University, who told me that the Gray Treefrog and Cope's Gray Treefrog can only be told apart by their vocals.
So, I volunteered to get a vocal - sent 3 recordings to Paul Sattler and he ID our treefrog as Gray Treefrog (Hyla versicolor) - Thanks!
We had a little rain today (they vocalize following rain); I got a short recording - hoping for a better take.
Took this image after picking up Carol's planter - he was under it.
They can be very loud! https://www.virginiaherpetologicalsociety.com/amphibians/frogsandtoads/copes-gray-treefrog/copes_gray_treefrog.php
