Serenity is 1 1/2 years old and weighs 45 pounds. Sweet Serenity is looking for a very special home. Serenity was found as a stray in Arkansas. Not much is known about her early history, but we can make a guess: it was rough. Due to her less-than-ideal start in life, Serenity is oh so fearful. New people, new places, even a new piece of furniture can frighten this sensitive sweetheart. Serenity is looking for a quiet, stable home where she won't have too many new things thrown at her. No parties, please! When she's feeling safe, Serenity is remarkably sweet. She wants nothing more than to cuddle with her people, placing her front paws gently on their shoulders and snuggling into their chest. Serenity loves other dogs and gains a lot of comfort from their presence, so her ideal home would have a canine companion to be her moral support as she explores new things. If no dogs are available, a friendly, confident, dog-loving cat could be a good buddy, too! Serenity has a hard time trusting new people, so she's looking for someone patient and gentle who understands that it may take some time (multiple adoption visits, or several weeks in the home) before she is ready to show off her affectionate side and really let her guard down.
