Adult above, juvenile below; probably a family pair. The juvenile shows the typical bright yellow "lips" (flanges) which attract parents to feed. Both show the crest, characteristic of the species, with the adult's more prominent.
I was surprised by the blue color of the juvie's flight feathers and one tail feather, given the normal gray/brown plumage; see this this other picture of the same juvie: https://pbase.com/tgrey/image/171651364.
My guess was that this was an artifact of the light and camera, and Michael Mammoser pointed out to me that these feathers on the juvie would be fresh and more likely to generate a reflection that made gray look blue.
