Aveiro is a city on the west coast of Portugal set along a lagoon called Ria de Aveiro. It's distinguished by its canals navigated by colorful boats (barcos moliceiros), traditionally used to harvest seaweed. Moliceiro is the name given to the boats that circulate in the Ria de Aveiro, lagoon region of the Vouga River . This vessel was originally used for harvesting the moliƧo , but currently more used for tourism purposes.
